ELM...fixed?
Well, they just came out of an 11 hour maintenance mode...
How's is working for everyone now?
It works for the log in for me, but loading the actual course list and the specific course pages is still slow as hell (though they do load, instead of booting me out now). I've tried it on XP and Vista, same problems. Hopefully that's just because they're busy, with people coming on after the mode, and not some other issue.
On a side note, History 1BB3 isn't up for me yet. If anyone who reads this is in that course, let me know how it is for you. I'm a little paranoid it might be me, since I have readings to do for tomorrow and nothing's there...

It will probably need several more repairs. Don't wait up. Get your rest and just tell your profs it didn't work.

It's definitely faster than before, and less frustrating, but not fast enough yet =/ It'll probably require a bit more maintenance, so until then, I agree with Bushra, sleep is so much better >.<

The only reason it was shut down was that so they would gather some crucial data such as when the busiest times of the ELM server are and the site locations that students most often visit when they're on the site. I know it doesn't make very sense but that's what Dr. Kajiura said (she said she knows this because she is close friends with one of the ELM people).

Yea Dr Pat was quite annoyed. Though the idea of using facebook as a learning tool is pretty cool and interesting. And it's really annoying to wait for 15 min until ELM lets you in a course..so it should be better with facebook/email to communicate.

slow as ever...
It is very irresponsible for the university to take this long. Server issues should always be addressed as top priority especially when this is required by most profs (at least all of my profs) as a distribution site for course info/ assignments..
and don't reply saying these things take a long time, I know they don't

Well, my history's up, so that's nice. I think it was the prof, but the way he talked last lecture it seemed like it was already there. Meh, whatever.
Anyway, worse than when I posted before. Gets about halfway loaded in a second, then spends 10 minutes loading the rest. Ugh.
