ELM says "no courses"? Anthro 1Z03
I know the ELM problem has been discussed a lot lately, but some feedback please.. I'm part-time and only in ONE course, so I have no reference to know if it's specifically an ELM problem, or something to do with me...

I'm in Anthro 1Z03. The prof has said that the lectures, etc. are available on ELM, but ELM says "no courses".

Anyone else missing this course? or conversely - Anyone successfully seeing this course listed?

I still don't have it either. My guess - the prof hasn't set it up properly or something. Hopefully we'll find out in class this week.

I'm taking anthro 1z03 with dr. poinar. Will the textbook really be needed for this course?

By the way, the course is showing up on ELM now..

re: ELM, yes, he said in class today. thank you.

as far as the textbook, what dr. p said was that you will need the text for class, but you don't need to BRING it to class. HOWEVER, make sure you bring it to tutorial.

They're all in the lecture notes which have been posted on ELM, I just checked. I'm so confused now. Don't know whether I should get the book or not :(

well, considering he's giving us reading assignments from it, he said we'd need it, he said that we should take our texts to tutorial, and yes, some of the pictures and point-form notes ARE on ELM, but not the full text...

I think that means yes - but do what you want. If you go without out it and suddenly feel you need it, you'll have answered your own question!

did you see the syllabus with the course outline on the anthro website (it's supposed to be on ELM but last time I checked, it just had Dr. P's address and stuff)?

anyway, it lists chapter one for last week and the appendix (which is about 5 or 6 pages of the skeleton, chimp and monkey skeletons, skulls, pevis, etc. with relative and comparative parts.) for this week.

again, as I said - you can judge for yourself. I'm just going by what's been said/listed.
