Eng 2MM3 (2010) - Electrical Circuits and Power

I just got done with this course and I have to say that this is a very easy and straight forward course. You can easily score a 12 if you do the assignments yourself.

This is the course breakdown:
Tutorial Attendance-3%
4 Assignments-12%
2 Midterms-35%
Final Exam-50%

Attend the tutorials as they are very very helpful.

The first assignment is on Fundamentals of Electricity and Magnetism
The second assignment is on Transformers
The third assignment is on Balanced Three Phase Circuits
The fourth assignment is on Three phase and Single phase induction motors

The first midterm is on Fundamentals of Electricity and Magnetism
The second midterm is on Transformers and Balanced Three Phase Circuits (Assignment 2+3)

The Final Exam has four questions:
1st question- Generator connected to a three phase induction motor
2nd question- Three phase induction motor
3rd question- Single phase induction motor
4th question- Transformers

Also you get a two sided formula sheet which is very very helpful as you don't have to memorize any formulas. Maybe just how to convert HP to Watts.

The previous assignments and midterms are very similar to assignments and midterms from previous years.

The book is not required for succeeding in this course in my opinion(save $250). The professor's notes are very good for understanding the material.

Rstevenson says thanks to kanishka for this post.
