Engineering 1C03 questions
Im kinda concerned about the lab and tutorial sections of the course, I curious but were any of you stressed for time when completing these inclass assignments? I currently have one hr gaps inbetween these sections and I can alter my schedule to remove these gaps and have one less day starting at 830 am in the morning..I dont rly kno wat to do here but if anyone can give me more input on the course and the tutorials and lab,s I'd greatly appreciate it!

I personally did not find either the labs or tutorials challenging.

The tutorials are basically drawing classes. If you already know how to do it i would suggest you to start right when you get there since for some of the assignments, you will be crunched for time to finish them.

For the labs, as long as you listen to the TAs at the beginning of each lab, they will basically tell you what you need to know for each lab and how to do it by controlling everyone's computer and showing the steps.

Either way, the key to success to both the lab and tutorial is to practice. If you understand how to draw or can visualize and be able to work solidedge, you will be fine.

Honestly, if you are at least somewhat decent with computers, you shouldn't need to practice SolidEdge at all.

I was always done 1C03 labs early. Tutorials usually took me a bit longer but I'm notorious for being a perfectionist when it comes to drawing.

As one of the TAs who runs the Labs I find that the course (the labs anyway) rests on whether or not you can visualize objects in 3D, given a 2D representation of it. Once you are able to do this, all the labs do is teach you how to use 3D modelling software.

We move at quite a fast pace, so if you find yourself not knowing what to do when we give you each week's assignment, I suggest doing the practise problems we provide you with.
