Well first year engineering is going to be a new experience for you, its different from high school. Sometimes your going to be in a class with around 400 people as opposed to 30 in high school. Also, your going to be doing a lot of travelling between your classes..you might have a class in TSH and the next one is a d04 lab in ETB...that being said I wouldn't recommend getting a locker for first year engineering, especially if you live in rez.

Professors?

Some are good, some are not !
For math I had childs and he was really good. McLean is good as well.
For physics I had Preston and Okon, they were both good, but Okon is definitely better !
For 1c03 its one proff--dr.Doyle...umm he's okay, I didn't really enjoy the lectures but the course isn't too bad.
For 1p03 its also one proff--dr.Fleisig...dr.fleis ig as a person is nice and approachable. Unfortunately a lot of people hated his class. The tutorials and the lectures are meh (I only enjoyed the lectures when he used to bring real life examples to class).
For 1d04 I had dr.Farmer, to be honest I kindda liked his lecture style, some people didn't like him.
For materials (1m03), I had Dr. Zurob...he was without a doubt one of the best professors I have ever met..his lectures were always over flowing with students..some students used to sit on the floor because they couldn't find a seat..lots of students from different sections were attending his lectures!
For chem (1e03), we had one professor--Dr.Barbier...in all honesty I slept through every lecture of his that I attended...I stopped going to class after September and just studied on my own for his class.

Courses:

Math 1za3: This course covers materials from gr 12 calculus (derivatives and such), and also goes deeper with series&sequences..whi ch cover a large portion of the exam... I would strongly recommend reading the book for this class and doing a lot of the practise problems..also, make sure you do the sample tests posted online and ask questions if you don't get anything.

Math1zb3&1zc3: 1ZB3 deals mainly with integration (anti-derivatives) and their applications. Personally, I enjoyed the course and did alright in it. If you practise a lot and do sample tests, you should be fine for this course. The same applies to math 1zc3, if you read the book,do the practise problems and practise with some of the sample tests you should be fine (to be honest I felt that 1zc3 was harder than 1zb3, just something to keep in mind).

Physics 1d03&1e03: The only way to get good at physics is to practise with capa...in first year eng, there are online assignments called "CAPA"..even though they are worth 2.5% of your overall grade, they are worth a lot more since both of the midterms (and the exam I think) are built around capa problems..so take your time to do them and ask questions if you don't get something.

Chemistry 1e03: For chem, if you read the lecture notes (I felt they were useless, but some people found they were helpful), or take your time to read some sections of the book that you don't really understand, do the tutorial problems posted online, do the old midterms that the proff posts online...you should be fine !

Materials 1m03: Personally for this course I found it useful to go to class, read the book and practise. It important that you practise the problems posted at the end of each lecture slide...also doing old midterms posted online was helpful...for the exam, a lot of the multiple choice questions were from the old exams that he posts online !

Engineer 1d04/1c03/1p03: For 1d04(programming), its important that you practise programming on your own. Some people found the book useful, other didn't, but what's important is to practise programming on your own. For 1c03, practising with autodesk is also helpful for the labs, and sketching different objects from the Leake book is helpful as well (for this course try to pick good group members for the final report). Engineer 1p03--not much to say for this course other than "hopefully" you have good group members since the final project was worth like 45% of our final grade..the rest were midterm/exam/assignment. For the final exam and the midterm its helpful to read the textbooks and practise/memorize the solution of the midterms that are posted. The reason I said "hopefully" is because they choose your group members in September.

Electives: I took econ 1b03&1bb3... I don't know what to say since a lot of people have different views of these courses..but in general if you have the book, read it..if you don't, go to class and pay attention to the materials being covered.

You shouldn't miss out on the fun that you will experience in frosh week (especially faculty day).

Wow, nice depth, I will try my best to remember all of them! Everything I'm reading is just exciting me more and more, I haven't even gotten accepted yet. (N) Do you get to choose which profs you get for a class or is it just given out randomly, other than the ones that only have one prof of course?

Its given out randomly, but you can switch your section and adjust your timetable around to get a certain professor.
You don't have to remember all of them now, just bookmark this page and come back to it whenever you want ...Or type in Engineering I into the search bar and hit enter !

As Silver said, your high school marks get send out automatically by your high school. You don't need to send them yourself.

I'm not in high school, per se, I'm just upgrading English at a high school. The school does not send the marks, so it was either I mail it to McMaster or hand it in myself. I prefer going to Mac just so I know it'll get there in a timely manner. Also, I believe that high schools don't send their students mid term marks as soon as the students receive them, so I'd like to get mine in ASAP, so that hopefully they'll get mine first.
