Environmental Science 2c03
Hi,

I know it's kinda last minute. I just wanted to make sure if we're going to be tested on all the lectures for the final exam, which would be from lecture 1-24..right?

Your help will be appreciated!

Thanks alot in advance!

The format of the exam is essay style questions. I believe he is giving us 7 and we choose 5 to answer. The long answer style questions encompass information from the pre-midterm material, but the focus is on the second half of the course where the material is applied to each of the environments. He said that the types of questions you are likely to see are (in general):

What do you know about this process?
What is its limitation?
How does it work over this environment?
Why is it significant?

Hope this helps

I think he said there would be no calculations, but don't take my word for it. I think your best bet is to study the equations used in the labs, and then for the more complicated equation (e.g. Penman-Monteith) know what it does, its benefits, limitations, etc. As for the figures, I find they are always useful in supporting a long answer type question, so if it helps you to describe something then I would say know some of the figures. Other than that, I don't believe we will be explicitly asked to draw any specific diagrams or perform any calculations. But again, its always safe to know these things if you can.

Yeah, I'm a bit intimidated by the weighting. Hopefully it goes well.

Best of luck to you
