essay samples?
I'm not really experienced with writing history papers... is there anyway I could find older essays to use as reference? Could there be any at the library? I'm having a hard time getting started on this...

I'm not sure if there are any sample essays available (that might cause some trouble with academic dishonesty), but you could always go to your TA or CSD and ask for tips on how to get started.

Also, if your unsure about plagiarism in your paper (and spelling errors, etc) you can set up an account at sentenceworks.com.
Its free for McMaster students.

I would go and talk to the professor or TA. It helps if you go in with an essay outline of some form, even just something saying the points that you want to make because this could help the TA or professor help you set-up how to write it.

CSD is also a great source for help, but sometimes it's best to go to those who will actually be marking you.
