Exam Survival Tips: 2008
Exam Survival Guide: 2008

With the last day of classes a week away and exams starting in nine days, time is of the essence if you are writing your first set of university exams this year.

In 2007 we wrote two articles on how to survive exams, and think they are both worth another read! They are called How to Survive Exams and Getting Ready for Finals. Check them out if you'd like some tips on exams! It is also worthwhile to note that some past exams are available in pdf format. To check them out go here.

Here are some general tips:
  • If there is anything you don't understand, go talk to your prof and/or TA as soon as possible. Chances are you're not the only one having difficulties, but that could also mean waiting in line and wasting valuable study time closer to your exam date
  • Find a study method and location that works for YOU. Just because it works for someone else doesn't mean you'll benefit.
  • Don't leave studying till the last minute
  • If you have several exams in short succession, start by studying for the last exam. Otherwise you'll not want to study for it when the rest are over
If you have any other tips please add them!
