Excited to become a Mac student!
Hi, my name is Heather.
I'm starting Level 1 Social Science in September.
I haven't taken the traditional path to university straight from high school like most others. I didn't take university level courses in high school but decided I wanted to go to uni during my last year so since then I have gone to college so that I could apply to university.
I'm a little nervous and also a bit worried about being 2 years older than most freshman but other than that I'm very excited about starting university!

I knew a first year last year who was like, late twenties or something? So it's not *that* weird.

Late 20's is kind of old. I would feel a bit weird. But I'm guessing your early 20's which isnt bad at all. Are you in res? It should be fine
Nice to meet you heather, welcome to mac

Don't worry about it. Im a lot older than that, Im still in first year, and I get by fine. I even had a class with a guy a few years older than me, and he got along fine as well. I get annoyed sometimes (ok, a lot), but generally there's no problems fitting in. Most of the students I've run into are pretty cool about it.

Hey Heather!
Don't worry about being two years older than most students!
I'll be 20 right when I start my first year. I figured I wasn't ready when I finished high school so I decided to take some time and make my final decision which brought me to attending McMaster this Sept
