Failing out first semester
So, a friend of mine (yes, actually a friend of mine) was wondering how many courses/what marks/average/etc. was needed to fail out of eng after first semester. Mostly so she knows how much to worry. Thanks in advance guys. :p

You will be put on academic probation if your average is below a 4, but as far as I know you will not be put on academic probation until the end of the year so as long as you pass everything in first term you can continue on.

You go below 60% average, I believe you will get a warning. If you do it again in second semester, you will get kicked out and you will not be eligible for second year. You will have to appeal if you want to try again.

If you fail one or two courses, you can pick it up over the summer. HOWEVER, if you had a decent mark in the courses you took in the spring/summer, it will be overlooked and it will not count as your average until after fall semester. So be sure your average is still above the 60's, including the courses you got a zero in.
