Fight Song?
Does anyone know if McMaster has a fight song? Wikipedia claims that there are a couple of McMaster-based songs, but I don't know if those are 'fight songs' or just songs... And, regardless, I can't find anything except the titles and writer/composers.
I know Western has a fight song... and, due to both of my parents having gone there, I know all the words to it. I don't know if it's still sung at the games, but I think it's a really good idea. If Mac has a song, I think it's time to resurrect it.

I have also checked wiki in the past. There are:
'The Alma Mater Song' (1935), Mrs A.A. Burridge (words), Hugh Brearly (music); 'The McMaster March,' Claire Senior Burke et al (words), Arthur Burridge (music); 'My Mac' (1982), Fred Moyes (words and music).
I could find The Alma Mater Song on youtube but none of the others. We should start a new song! We should also bring back McMaster's secret society. I wonder how many people on MI KNOW that Mac had a secret society...

Not really. If you know it exists, but don't know what it does, then you can make crazy conspiracy theories! Like what people do with the Illuminati.

The whole point of a secrey society is for it not to be completely secret. People should know it exists, or suspect it exists, but not know anything else about it. That's how it maintains its interest.

I clearly have a different definition of secret than you do.

I understand that a secret is solitary and should not ever be disclosed to any other than the original recepient of "the secret." But a Secret Society is different. It would hold no power if it was a completely unknown organization. Look at Yale's "Skull and Bones" secret society. It IS a secret society, yet everyone knows it exists. The Skull and Bones society even owns property by law and has had legal authorities on its case for years. Some things have never been proven, however.

The first rule of fight songs is that you do not talk about fight songs.

The McMaster Marching Band has the music for the McMaster March but we don't play it too often because no one knows it.

If everybody knows it, it's not secret.
Exclusive? Elusive? etc... but not secret.

The secret part of the secret society is that you don't know anything else about it other than that it exists. take the example of batman's 'secret' identity. You obviously know that someone else is batman, but you don't know who which leaves it open to speculation. it's still secret even though you obviously know it exists.

I'm glad you can use an example I can relate to.
