Financial Account Statement
hey guys,

I payed my fees in full yesterday but on my student financial account statement it says the following:

OPENING BALANCE 0
There is no activity for the months selected
CURRENT BALANCE 0
LOAN BALANCE 0
RECEIVED FOR NEXT ACADEMIC SESSION -1600.00

What does it indicate a opening balance of 0 and what does the -1600 for recieved for next acedemic session mean. Is that for next year?

Thanks

It just represents the money that they have received for this coming school year. It doesn't mean anything's wrong. As long as you've paid your agreement in full. Mine says -$2100 there. I'm guessing it updates as they recieve more money or maybe not. Just don't worry about it

If you payed via online banking, it was take up to 3 business days for it to show up on your account. The -1600 means that they've received that much for the next academic session (i.e. the session that's about to start in September).

Your payment information was not updated yet. Maybe it's not even processed yet, because they will take a few days to process it. the 1600$ received are most likely 600$ residence deposit and 1000$ entrance scholarship. I would give it at least a week.

Hold on a second... If you pay your fees on september 1st, does that mean you don't get money on your student card until september 1st or even later because it needs to be processed?

No, meal card money is on there and available to use as soon as you move in, nothin needs to be processed. As long as you meet all the normal deadlines

jhan523 says thanks to mitch for this post.

Don't worry so much about what the statement says online... it always seem to be a bit outdated =/
