Financial Penalty - HOW Much is it??
I have 2 summer courses that I am taking right now. I know the last drop/add date was May 6th (without financial penalty). I understand if I cancel one course right now there will be financial penalty associated with this.

My question is: How much is this financial penalty??? 20%? 30%? 40%? There is a pdf posted on the mac website that breaks down the charge for Term 1, 2 and 3 courses but nothing for summer courses?

Can anyone help please??

http://www.mcmaster.ca/bms/student/p...ncellation.pdf <--- shows term 1,2,3 but not 4 and 5 (summer terms)

If you go to the associate dean's office, they should be able to tell you. They should have a chart that lets you know the financial penalty as the weeks progress.

Try calling the Office of Registrar on Monday. I think they can see that you tried dropping it yesterday and maybe they'll be nice.

if you go in person to registrar and tell them there were issues with solar, they will help you out - they gave my friend the correct amount back even though she also had issues with solar at the last minute

How will they know that there was a problem with Solar?

They probably won't. Just going in person demonstrates you're likely not bullshetting them >

As long as its less than a week after the deadline, then they're usually accommodating.
