Don't worry about taking textbooks to class. I had always suspected we don't but when I posted a thread on here that confirmed it.
My sister who is going into her fourth year never EVER took a text to class.
We're assigned readings before hand to become familiar with the material; the professors elaborate on it, provide examples, clarify it, pose einteresting questions, etc to stimulate the mind and get us thinking about what we read.

As a fellow commuter (Mississauga), lugging textbooks around will kill you. I just take my laptop, and whatever notebooks I need (if you use lined paper and no notebooks that's even better) and a change of clothes (one always needs a change of clothes) and a camera and a brush. And my wallet. You get the idea

It is a good idea however, to take your textbooks to tutorial. You'll most likely need it then.

Hey im commuting from Oakville as well (from the Trafalgar GO Carpool lot)
