It depends on which payment method you do. It says in your payment agreement though. I would make sure to read the entire payment agreement, it's very important.

lol. The time it took you to post this question would have been sufficient enough to find the date. Anyways here is a link to a chart with some important payment dates/deadlines: http://www.mcmaster.ca/bms/student/p...eadlines.p df

Well, technically the first payment is before Sep 1st. You see it on your P.A and you also see how much you need to pay.

You can pay on the day it's due, but it's always best to pay a couple business days beforehand.

Well, doesn't it depend on how you are paying? If I wanted to pay by cheque I'm suppossed to do it before Aug 15 apparently so that it can process?

Where did you find that? I can't find anything about paying by cheque before a certain day.

But it does make sense. You should allow 3-5 business days for delivery and another 3-5 days for processing which is about 2 weeks.

But all you have to do is send in a post-dated cheque (again, make sure to allow 2-3 business days for safety).

My friend told me that information. I was surprised by that too becuase I didn't see it anywhere as well.
But if you wanted to pay by debit, you could pay it on the though right? I mean I don't think that would take time to process..?

Yepp, if it's online I think it would need 2-3 business days to be processed. But wow 2 weeks is realyl long for a cheque!

PS- This doesn't apply to OSAP just so people don't get the wrong idea

No, we're not talking about OSAP. It's the first payment you need to make for the year.

Yeah, but you can send it a month in advance and post-date it for 27th. I think it's easier to do online banking though, it's basically the same thing.

How does paying online actually work? Anyone care to explain the process? I'm kinda confused. I read something about needing an "invoice" or something from McMaster?

Oh, I have an RESP and am from Bank of Montreal if that helps?
