First Year Chemistry Lab Times
hi,
I am an incoming first year who has had a lot of troubles with solar. I have finally found 2 still not full first year courses for electives (that I want to take!) that would ALMOST work into my schedule. The only problem is that my first year chem labs conflict with both these electives (both the one in first term and the one in second term) and at this point in time there are no other available lab times (they're all full). Does any one want to change when their first year chem lab is? Does anyone know if these labs will likely open up in the first week of classes with people changing there courses? If anyone has any advice that would be great!

Yep, if your Chem lab conflicts with a course, you will be able to move it in the first week of classes. I emailed Dr. Britz-Mckibbin about this, as he is the Undergraduate Advisor, and he told me that you are able to change your lab section if you have a valid reason.

If all of the sections are full, you can try contacting Jeff Landry the Level 1 Laboratory Coordinator. Explain your situation to him and he may be able to put you into a different lab section.

Yeah or you could call him. When I talked to him a couple days ago he said he'd be there in our first chem lecture. During/after the lecture you would just go see him and he would slot you in where it works for you.

Just a warning, if it's an elective, they may not change it for you.

But it doesn't hurt to try.
