First Year Council Information Sessions: September 15th and 17th
First Year Council Information Sessions: September 15th and 17th
As you might or might not know the first year council is having Elections for next years Exec on the 30th September.
We have 6 positions up for grabs and the nomination period for them started on the 9th of September. Nomination forms can be picked up and submitted to the MSU office until 5:00PM on September the 22nd.
The Information Nights are: Tuesday 15th and Thursday 17th Of September
Where?: The 1280 Restolounge!
All of our Execs will be there if you have any direct questions about any of the positions you are thinking of running for. Furthermore I heard the MSU Prez and Vp Admin might even drop by!
Even if you aren't sure about running just show up as it is a good oppurtunity to meet fellow first years; especially if the madness of welcome week was too much for you!
Did I mention free food?
Be there!
All sorts of further information can be found here https://www.msumcmaster.ca/studentGo...ycElectio n.htm

I wasn't able to come to the meeting tonight - Welcome week sickness :( - but I wanted to know how the whole nomination thing works as well as the actual election. I looked at the website, but didn't really find sufficient information. Thanks! =]

PS- There's a spelling error on the nomination form, the candidate portion says: " First Year Council Executive of October 2008- October 2009" instead of 2009-2010.

Oh yeah! That uploaded form is actually from last year apparently. The form you can pick up from the MSU office though has 09/10 on it! I'll try and see tomorrow if I can get that updated online!
