Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Well, look no further.
Every year, Smiling Over Sickness holds an annual event called Shave For A Cure. This event aims to raise money for the pediatric division of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) and is the perfect opportunity to get involved and make a contribution towards advanced health research and make wigs for pediatric cancer patients.
Each year, we select 40 participants who are interested in shaving their heads or would like to shave someone else’s head, to raise money for the pediatric division of the CCS. If you would like to learn more about this event and how to get involved, or are interested in becoming Shavees and Shavers, come down to the Shave For A Cure Info Sessions.
We are holding 2 information sessions during the week of September 22-26. You only need to attend one of the two sessions. These sessions will provide you with an opportunity to sign up for the event, learn about how to get started and work towards reaching our goal of raising $10,000 towards the pediatric division of the CCS. Representatives from the CCS will be present at both sessions to answer any of your questions about the organization. Did we mention that there will be free food served?
Sessions:
•Wednesday, September 24th @ MUSC Rm. 206 from 6:00PM – 7:30PM
•Thursday, September 25th @ MUSC Rm. 224 from 4:30PM – 6:00PM
We look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
