It looks like the profs for both Math 1Z04/1ZZ5 have changed around a little. This time Math 1Z04 has only Dr. Mclean and Dr. Childs teaching the course. Consider yourselves lucky lol. Do everything in your power to get Dr. Mclean as a prof. This guy is an absolutely amazing math prof. Dr. Childs is great too but Dr. Mcleans lectures are way better. He does lots of examples, doesn't copy the textbook word for word like some (Dr. Protos), very easy to approach and ask questions, and just tries to keep the material interesting.

Lol...just a quick question about French1Z06.... will I be at a disadvantage if I don't know any French at all ? Does the teacher assume you have a little bit of knowledge on French or do you start right from the beginning? Also, what level of French do they expect you have by the end of the term? (i.e. ability to write in paragraphs etc). I'm debating taking both economics or microeconomics and French.

No like, she literally starts off with learning to say "what is your name".
And the way its set up it forces you to practice and the work book is in english so its pretty straight forward.
I think even in the course outline it states that its for people with no french background.
And yeah by the end of the term you're expected to be able to write a paragraph in the present tense and the past tense.
It depends on what your strengths are really. if you think you can pick up languages easy, this course is designed to be easy.
