first year social science
i was wondering for first social science students do we have 30units done in-order to stay in the program for second year?

You don't "stay in the program" regardless of the number of units you have...you choose something to major in, and the requirements of each of those majors can vary. Usually the course calendar has this information, but if you're confused then talk to an academic advisor.

as far as I know with the exception of a few programs the requirement is to complete 30 units of level 1 before applying to a program you wish to major in for year 2 and beyond

For most soc sci and humanities programs you need at least 24 units to move onto level II, you just need to make sure you make up those credits at any point before graduation.

yep, I'm in 2nd year Honours Anthro with 24 units in 1st year. but my academic advisor told me I could only do that with my cores done. So I'd speak to one of them to make sure as suggested.
