Just wondering how many of you out there are like me and really wanted to get into Psych 3CC3 for the upcoming year, only to find that by the time you got into SOLAR the course already became full. I just need one more psych course to complete my psych minor and was looking forward to taking forensic psychology. There's no way to get in is there? : (

Omg when I saw this thread title I thought it was gonna say it's open and my heart skipped a beat hahaa. I wanted to take this class so bad!!!! Because like you I want it for my Psych minor because it doesn't require specific pre reqs and for example I don't really want to take 2C03 which I need to take cause it's a pre req for other psychs but if I could get into this one I wouldn't need to take 2C03. Also I love Dr. Day and of course it sounds really interesting!

I know it's offered every other year but do you think they had this high of a success in the previous years? Because I find it so ridiculous that it only has one core in the WHOLE year!!!!!! Gah who are these people that got in?! I'm so jealous!

I've been trying to get into Forensic Psych for a while :(. Too bad it's still full for me. I'm in Positive in the meantime, though!

I wanted to take this course as well!! Some of my friends went in and asked to be placed on the waiting list and the lady they spoke to said they have never seen this much demand for Psych 3CC3 in previous years! :(

I got waitlisted and eventually got in!
I talked to the psych counsellor and she said that previous years it wasn't in high demand- they didn't even have a full class
Maybe that's why there's only one core :S

Nice! I emailed the psych advisor and she told me she put me on the wait list but I haven't heard anything yet!

2 years ago, that class was in the same lecture hall as a course I had. I was feeling really sick and I went inside (when their lecture started) and sat in the back to wait for my class to begin. There were maybe 50 people in CNH 104. And some were nodding off.

That's weird -- it was the first course I was able to get into. Now if i can just get into Hormones (Psych 4Y03), I will have the last second upper-level psych needed to graduate. I'd rather that than Behavioural Ecology (Psych 3T03)

It seems that a lot of PN&B students have gotten in so maybe they reserved a lot of seats for that program.

If that's the case, then I don't feel bad about the lack of seats at all. It does suck, but it is their program and a lot of non-Psych students take a lot of Psych courses, thus eating up spots.

Thanks for the replies! I didn't know there would be a waiting list for this course or if I was allowed to ask for a seat because this is not one of my required courses so I didn't email the undergraduate advisor. I emailed her yesterday and I guess it was kind of late seeing that I got a reply back saying that I would be put on the waiting list however, I shouldn't count on getting in because the list is already so long. Hmmmmmmmm.... Well let's just hope for the best.
