I think French 2G03 is a really good course for polishing up sentence structure and style. You learn a lot of ways to avoid over-used, bland English-French translations, which helps you later on to develop better writing skills. You should have a good foundation in French, but note that the course is done in both English and French, which may help you out...
I had Dr. Rush last year for this course, and found her very picky. She always wanted it to be translated only the way she apparently thought it was right, so I think a lot of people did very poorly on the assignments (of which there were 5). Course work were graded pretty hard; tests weren't so bad.
However this year, it seems that Dr Banks is teaching so things may be different. I have heard good things about her so far, but unfortunately cannot tell you the actual ease level of the course because of this change.
