Hey McMaster!

Do you have a passion for journalism? Do you have experience with InDesign or Photoshop?
If so, you may want to apply to be a Frontline editor or photo editor!

What is the Frontline?
The Frontline is McMaster Social Sciences Society's quarterly paper.
We cover a variety of topics, ranging from student life to sport to arts.
As well, we keep everyone up-to-date on MSSS events and happenings.

The MSSS is looking for:
- Two (2) Editors
- One (1) Photo Editor

Qualifications:
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience with Adobe Indesign and/or Photoshop
- Excellent time management and public relations skills
- You must be a full time student in the 2010-2011 school year
- You DO NOT have to be in Social Sciences, we welcome applications from all faculties/programs

Application forms can be found on the door of the MSSS office at KTH 101/A starting March 31st
Completed forms should be returned to the office by Tuesday, April 6th, 2010.
Please attach a 250 word sample of your writing if applying for the editor position or an example of your work for the photo editor position.

If you have any questions, please email [email protected] .com

Good luck!

I was a co-editor from August 2007 until January 2008 and then Executive editor until August of 2008. The Frontline has grown a lot in recent years, which has been good for the MSSS and Mac students as a whole.

If you`re looking to get some journalism experience, this is a really good way to do so. There are WAY more people with journalism degrees than there are good jobs right now, so the more experience you can get, and the earlier on the better it will be for you.

Also, editing the work of other people helps you become a better editor and writer, so it can help you with your school work too!
