Frost Week festivities gear up on
Wednesday, January 6th, with
ClubsFest II taking place in the MUSC marketplace from 10am-2pm. ClubsFest II is an ideal place to discover what MSU Clubs has to offer. Meet new friends, and get involved with a social, religious, cultural, academic or recreational activity. With over 265 clubs out there, you will surely find something to love.
Once ClubsFest II is finished, book it on over to Mills Plaza (the area outside between MUSC and Mills) for the
Polar Bear Run at 2:30 p.m., followed by
Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag at 5:30 (meet in front of Williams in the Student Centre). Join your crew at
Twelve Eighty for the post-game reception for some free eats, and even consider sticking around for the 9 p.m. screening of Zombieland. But if flesh-eating sub-humans don’t particularly pump your nads, come out for the
SOCS Moonlight Skate at Olympic Arena just down the street in Dundas at 10 p.m. There is no registration required for any of these events!
Thursday will see your friends in their baldest moments, as
Shave for a Cure heats up in the MUSC atrium. Other events include
Carnival, featuring performances from the
McMaster Marching Band and an
Ice Carving Demo. Also, the
Wheel of Alumni with great prizes will be on hand, as well as the Mac Talent Show and a music video tapping. Come out to the plaza and get your fill of free funnel cakes and hot apple cider, donations towards Shave for a Cure will be accepted.
Come the end of the week, both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams will take to the court
Friday at 6pm and 8pm – free admission with your Frost Week Toque! Capping the week off will be a
SOCS formal on Saturday night. Stay tuned to for more updates as the plans unfold for Frost Week 2010!
