If I have a tutorial for a course before the core itself, should I go just in case? Because I have two tutorials tomorrow, but the first cores for both classes are on Wednesday.

Wouldn't hurt to go if you don't have a way of finding out (emailing TAs, profs, looking at course outline).

I went to my tutorial, and there was no one there, so I don't think so...
It really depends on the course, so you usually don't got unless you have a core for that course before hand and the prof says you should attend or posts something on avenue.
