Future Mac Student! 2012* exchange from New Zealand
Hi Guys,

I'm Bianca D, currently a first year BCA(International Business and Finance) student at Victoria University of Wellington. I've applied for an Overseas Exchange to McMaster starting December 2011, for 2 semesters.
Honestly, I cannot wait! Canada has always been so special to me, and finally I can experience it first hand!
I thought, by joining this community, I'd be able to get helpful suggestions and info. on what to expect and any advice in terms of where to stay, places to see and things to experience!

So yeah, Please feel free to comment! Look forward to meeting all you Maccas

Welcome to Canada
First off, welcome to Canada.
There are lots of places you can live. I recommend living on campus just for the experience, although it is cheaper to live off campus. It’s up to you to decide for yourself.

Hi Bianca!

I'm glad your excited, us Canadians are kind of awesome :p
Anyways, my tip to you is to make sure you find a place before you come unless you want to stay at a hotel/motel and make sure its decent! My roommate from Ireland last year rented a total dump but it looked fine in pictures.
Obviously I rescued her hence why she became my roommate and hence why us canadians are so awesome
