Hi, I'm in Honours Life Sciences, I just finished my 2nd year. I know that you need a 6.0 to stay in the program. I'm still waiting for 2 of my marks, but its going to be really tight. I'm just wondering that if I'm below the 6.0, is there anything I can do? I didn't fail any courses, but I got 4 Ds. But I also have a medical issue, which really affected me for the first semester of this year. So I'm just wondering, if I am below the 6.0, who can I contact, to explain my situation? Any help appreciated, Thanks.

Hi, sorry to hear about your medical issue :(

For commerce (where you also need a 6.0 for honors), they let you stay in honors with a 5.5-5.9 on academic probation, as long as you get up to a 6.0 average the following semester. So in that regards, you should be fine, because i'm sure your program is the probably the same.

However, I would contact your faculty advisor and go over your story; explain your medical illness, and they may do something for you as you are a special case.
