Getting feedback
Hey all!

Working on a new header design that is more 'mac spirited'.

Let me know what you think:

view the site through beta mode (fixed width)
Update: View with fluid width

And click here to return to regular mode.

Differences:
- Different header with maroon colours and mac-related graphics
- "fixed width" site

Really like the header.

Not sure about the fixed-width part though.. I like the current non-fixed one better.

Thanks aya017, I've added a fluid width option.

I actually dislike the header. Not sure if I dislike the header or the weird 3dness of the "Home Advice Tips Search Bar" navigation... just seems out of place. The colour too. And I think I dislike the white on black at the top. Dunno how it would look with it reversed, but from what I'm visualizing I think i'd like it more.

Actually, it might just be that 3dness beige nav bar that makes it seem awkward.

(and i can't tell what this fixed width is doing, so no comment. rofl)

(out of the options I prefer the fluid width)

the non-fixed version stretches to the width of your browser window (if you have a wide screen the forums will fit to your screen). Fixed width is fixed at a certain width, like facebook is... doesn't matter how big your screen is the site stays the same size.

There will be more choices for header, and colour. Hopefully a black/darker version coming soon

Ya I think Fluid width is the way to go, at least for the forums.

Darker version in the works:
