To be perfectly honest, I think they're both a waste of time unless you're got a group of friends to play with. More often than not, you end up in a team with imbeciles through the matchmaking system, regardless of which game it is.
And they always end up ruining the game.
As well, you're correct - maybe I should have rephrased what I said earlier to be clearer: DotA has a dull and drab colour scheme, LoL has a bright and garish colour scheme. That said, I still found it easier to
distinguish things in the latter rather than the former, hence my statement it was easier on
my eyes
(gosh, an opinion, on the internet? Burn the heretic).
As far as complexity goes, define 'complexity'. All I care for is if a game is actually worth playing - and I'm quite certain everyone has their own measure for 'playability'.

I have no clue, mate.
Perhaps I do require some kind of medical attention - clearly if I've played both DotA and LoL and cannot immediately discern the superiority of one RTS over the other, I must have issues.
ETA: After actually bothering to check the link, I have a question: what was the point of that? All I can see is a flame war.
