How to go about changing programs?
So I am going to school in September for Med Rad Sci. There is a possibility I might want to change programs to Life Sciences. Should I take electives to meet the degree requirements for Life Sci? Does anyone know if it is possible to switch ? I did not meet the cut off for Life sci, but I know I could of if I tried harder. I have two minds about med rad sci because I would like to specialize in Radiation Therapy, however I heard the job market is very saturated = no jobs :(

It's probably going to be easier to get a job with a med rad sci degree than a generic life sci degree. So you'd be making the wrong choice if you're concerned about job prospects. I heard med rad has a lot of required courses so it may be hard to transfer, unless you do summer school.

Is Radiation Therapy something you really want to pursue? I think you have to weight two things against each other.. job offers vs. what you really want to pursue/study. Which one is more important to you? If you say job offers then you might as well go with Life Sciences then. (according to your info) If its pursue/study then I'm sure there are job offers out there in the world, maybe just not in your local area or just not in Ontario, or Canada.

You should talk to an academic advisor. If you didn't meet the cutoff (it doesn't matter if you could have, you didn't, and that's really the bottom line), they might not let you, especially since they have way more kids than they expected/wanted--it's already over-filled. At any rate, an academic advisor can tell you the best way to transfer into life sciences if that is what you want. It might also be possible to transfer after first year, and by then you might have a better idea of what you want to do.

I would suggest sticking to what you already have at the moment. Don't rule out Ultrasound or Radiography just yet, you might get there and after being introduced to the other streams of the program change your mind.

No job, or a job where you press a button for the rest of your life.

Hmmm.
