Got back my first quiz. How bad did I do?
Got a 76%, it was multiple choice. Is this a bad start? How were your first marks in first year?
I don't really know what to expect in terms of marks... in high school a 76 was no good.
It was an anthropology quiz btw

How was the class average? I guess that's an alright indicator of how you did, compared to everyone else, anyway.

Arrogant is being, well, arrogant. That's a super mark for first year! You should be very happy. I remember being in the same situation as you, though; I received an 80% on my first essay of first year and was absolutely devastated. Then I found out that most people got graded in the 60s and I had actually done quite well. Keep up the good work!

I don't know the class average thats why Im asking.

Unless you're in engineering, the marks don't really change going from HS to first year EXCEPT on essays.
I.e., if you were happy with a 76 in high school, then it's not any better or worse getting a 76 in University. If you were used to getting 90s, then one would think you didn't do as well on this as you usually do.

76 is great. It's only first year so it really doesn't matter all that much. 76 is a really solid mark, especially to start university off with. It isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but there's obviously some improvement that could be done.
Don't sweat it, roll with it. You're doing fine. hahaha

First test I did in university I got a 0%. The course was first year Math 1Z03 in engineering. Almost had a heartattack when I saw my mark lol. I was like  for a couple minutes. Turned out I forgot to fill in the bubble for my version number so I got that changed and got my 'real' mark back which still sucked but still a lot better than 0%. It was one hell of a way to start off university lol.
