You are entering the number of credits the course is worth which is located at the end of the course code. For example, if the course code is 1A03 then the course is worth 3 credits.

Nevertheless, helpful! Thanks for sharing

Just use this chart and do it manually. You have to convert each course mark to the 4.0 scale to get your GPA. You can't just convert your McMaster GPA to the 4.0 scale.

Here's the chart:

when they calculate gpa and let's say percentage wise it was a 75%, would they count that as 8 point something or just 8 because a 8 ranges from 70-76

Just 8.

As far as I know your transcript has no percentages so theres no official record of what you got outside of 12-point form.

So you mean if i transfer to another post secondary, they would just take my gpa in a 12 scale and directly convert it to let's say a 4.33?

You have to convert every single grade to the 4.0 scale (or whatever scale the other institution uses) prior to calculating the average.

That's how it works, your lowest input is 4% by the way.

So 80% on a 30% assignment means you lost 6%
90% on 35% means you lost 3.5%
4% on 5% means you lost 4.8%.

6+6+3.5+4.8 is 20.3% which you means you ended up with a 79.7.
