Hi. i have a question regarding cumulative gpa. I got an 8.9 cumulative gpa in first year. Does this count as B+ or B ? and how do you convert it to a 4.0 gpa scale,

To figure out your GPA on the 4.0 scale you have to convert each individual mark and average them, an 8.9 GPA will convert to somewhere around or just below 3.0 on the 4.0 scale.

8.9 would be just below a GPA of 3.3/4.0 aka a B

You can't convert it directly like this; as Tailsnake said you have to convert each mark individually, then average them.

Oops, I've never actually looked at the cGPA Mac gave me, I just calculated my own GPA on the 4.0 scale. Didn't realize that there was a discrepancy.
