Grade Appeals
I know for my faculty that I am supposed to write a page or so, in a scholarly manner, my opinion why the mark should be improved. I guess what I'm wondering, is do I just e-mail the prof my paper, along with my explanation, or I do I setup an appointment during their office hours and bring it in and discuss it. Bringing in my paper with my explanation makes the most sense.

It sounds like this is for an assignment, as opposed to a final grade, so in that case, the procedures should be specified on the course outline...profs deal with assignments and stuff like that, and then if there's still a serious issue then you could go to the faculty.

If you disagree with your prof over anything after final grades are submitted, you can submit an appeal directly to your faculty (though you'd typically contact the prof to discuss it first).
