Grade Release
Does anyone know if grades are going to be posted for the rest of the break or do we have to wait till the new semester to start before start seeing any more grades?

S is right. the registrar people are on a leave and our grade reports won't be upgraded until after the break.

^ If you dont celebrate christmas .. others do. And if you do ... you should know better. The people of the registrar need a break as much as you do from school. They need to celebrate with their family. It's not like you need to know these marks right now.

Well, I definitely understand that they have a right to their break, but we kind of do need to know asap.
1. For our own mental stability (did we pass/get the grades we wanted)
2. To make decisions for our term 2 schedule (this could be done after, but it's arguably easier during the break)
3. We pay tuition and except a good service. Mac's administration is less than a "good" service, IMO.
My sister got all her 5 courses' grades on December 22nd at a different university so if that university can do it, ours can too.
Not trying to start an argument or anything. I just think we do (at least I) would like to know

this is exactly why school needed to end earlier. Not the 21st. 4 days before x-mas. It's stupid scheduling. |

I second you regarding this. I took some courses in term 2 which depends on my term 1 marks because they are related and if I know I didn't do as good in a course as I'd like then I'll have to start looking for alternatives. |

I'm not saying that I expected them to be in the office slaving away on the 24th, 25th and 26th but my parents have gone back to work since then and so have many other people and it didn't ruin any of our family celebrations. I don't think my complaint is so outrageous. |

people need to know to apply for grad school too! i specifically took a course for my application and they need to know the final mark so basically im screwed

Students are the hamsters running the wheel that gives administration power. If we're not on campus moving about and working, the wheel doesn't turn, they don't get power, they just shut off until we get back to power them back up.
