I would really prefer having my grades back in a reasonable amount of time (especially during the summer), but I'll be honest, I don't expect it. Enrolment is now unprecedented and since not a lot of new staff are being hired, the system isn't always equipped to handle such large numbers.
As for grad schools/scholarships, you could try emailing your professor, explaining the situation and asking for a letter?

So, it's not just me? Because I am unable to see the list of the courses I'm taking this and next term on the report. I was very worried, because this did not happen previous years.

exactly! it's so unfair to finish the 21st and have to go back on the 3rd. why can't mac start the 5th (we start term 1 on thursdays) or even the 9th. 12 days is really unfair to people who don't finish exams until the 21st.

To be fair, we finished exams on the 21st while Guelph was done by the 16th. Source
Based on the same link, we had an exam period that was 3 days longer but they have 4 more days off than us. Doesn't seem like a bad tradeoff imo. Either way, we're gonna complain about something, whether it be having little time between exams or having a short break.
I do agree that some classes are extremely slow with marking. I can excuse the exams that happened late but the ones that happened early should definitely be up by now.

The issue of a tradeoff was something students have not had a choice in. If the university determined that it would choose a longer exam period and an immensely short break for so many of its students, it should also have accounted for the exams that would end late and be marked very slowly, and the fact that Term 2 courses may depend on this.
The schedules are always predetermined and this indicates unwise systemwide planning.

It's University policy. Professors aren't allowed to post final/exam grades (or even exam answers so students can calculate their final grade): it's up to the office of the registrar to give the 12-point final grade to students. Now some professors do choose to post marks on avenue (I've had classes where exam marks were posted in the past), but that's technically a big no-no.

Since the registrar people are back tomorrow, does anyone think that they will post the marks during the day rather than midnight?

Isn't it a holiday for them, due to New Years Day being on a Sunday.

The University will close December 25 and will reopen January 2.
