Lived in the Hammer my whole life, I don't mind the smelliness or anything at all, I'm pretty much used to it. The only thing that I hate is that there's NOTHING to do for underaged kids. The only thing to do is go to the movies at night and mall during the day. I don't know of any decent hangouts at all - there are none on the mountain that's for sure, other than Tim Hortons.

Yeah, I've met my share of creeps via the bus stop at Eastgate during the day. I do go to Eastgate sometimes (Cavalier's or Le Chateau in the mall), but the stores aren't too great.
Other than the bus creeps, I don't think I've ever run into anything dangerous/sketchy in East Hamilton.
(Advice: many bus creeps are repeat creeps. If you run into someone you don't want to run into again, I would suggest taking an earlier or later bus)

Haha that explains it. Though sometimes one will sell something cheaper than the other, so do your research before hand.

Other than family skating, I don't know of anything to do in the winter.
I'm glad other people find Hamilton fun in the spring/summer, the festivals are usually a lot of fun and there's many of them. Only thing is when you've been going to them for 19 years, they get a bit repetative. lol
