Then what about...the guy...who's Harry's roommate...the one who lives with his grandmother?

Ack, I don't know the story well enough to remember secondary characters.

Sorry for another double post, but that seems like a lame cash cow thing to do...release in two parts. pfffffffft. Radcliffe will be 102 years old...Remember the Karate Kid was like 30 playing a teenager! Those were the days

I AGREE! Money grabbing blkdaofbhagdakj!

And McMaxwell is indeed correct... Cho Chang/Katie Leung is scottish http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1648520/

Apparently we Canadians aren't so good with the deciphering of English/Scottish/Irish.... my Irish grandmother would beat me if she were alive to see the day

And Danielle (lorend) who is standing over my shoulder yelling at the cat because he got tape stuck to his head is insiting that I point out that Devon Murray (Seamus Finn) is Irish : http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0614912/

That is all.

You know the most frustrating thing about the movies? They get soooo many of the little things right, but then mess up a lot of the big time plot, by cutting out pieces that we all know and love. (ie. Fred and George's attack on Umbridge was waaaaaay more awesome in the book. Complete with a pimp swamp that one of the teachers kept a piece of).

But yeah they usually cast pretty well I'd say. Luna was pretty awesome. Radcliffe IS Harry Potter...That said they didn't cast well in GOF. Krum and Delacour....meh for me. Fleur's supposed to be like, wowwww you're beautiful and stuff. Instead it's like, you know you're kind of pretty and your sisters all drowning and stuff.

Oh em gee, Daniel Radcliffe <3 lol. But I agree.. I hate when they mess up important stuff.. or at least things that really stood out in the books. I know its a movie and they cant keep everything in, but come on, look at LOTR. I think they did a damn good job keeping to the books with those movies.

Yeah, ditto on the whole messing up importatn stuff...It's annoying when they take stuff out and add in their own thing, which I guess is technically fine since Rowling approves of them first I think...but still, lol

That raises a good point, like...does JK tell the director: this is how it needs to look. Or do you think they come to her and be like, can it look like this? I think it's the latter.

I have to admit, I think the acting in the first one was pretty much shite. They've gotten better over the years but in the first one it was all:

Your a wizard Harry (deadpan voice)
I'm... I'm a what? (fake surprise)

BAH! PUT SOME DAMN EMOTION INTO IT! If some big hairy man had just come and told me I was a wizard I'd a) crap myself because he's so big and scary and b) do a little happy dance on the spot!

I would definitely do the happy dance. Then I'd smack myself on the head to see if this was all just some effed up dream.
