I have a mission, should you choose to accept it.
I've had this swimming in my mind for a good 2 years now, after having seen the KFC at King & Dundurn and the grocery store basically across the street from it.
Wouldn't it be fantastic to buy a big bucket of fried chicken, get a watermelon from the super market--and as an added bonus, a big jug of purple Kool Aid or some other beverage with the same colouration-- and ride around the bus, perhaps get off in downtown region and saunter? The wafting aromas of the chicken, the wet sounds of biting into the watermelon and the gentle splish-splash of the (optional) Kool Aid would make for a beautiful harmony that serenades the ears of the surrounding people.
I highly encourage anybody who enjoyed this thread to go perform this experiment and see what results surface.

Sure. Mills, high noon. I'll bring the materials and we can go and test our hypotheses. I love having lab partners that take initiative! You take up position at the back of the bus, I at the front. We can gather data from different perspectives that way.

This science is a serious matter! I'm trying to establish myself as a credible anthro-psychologist, and getting a paper published based upon the response of people to certain scents and sounds would be a huge boost towards accomplishing my goals. With that in mind, I have to tell you this: If we get a paper published, then I need to have my name first. People remember the first name most and it definitely would add a good amount of credibility to my name.
