does anyone know any good second year health studies courses that's easy to follow like the first year course of 1a03 ??thanx

can any one tell me more about health studies 2D03 i kinda wanted more than just this:

An examination of mental health and illness from different social, cultural and historical perspectives, including consideration of changing notions of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Three hours (lectures and discussion); one term

I'm planning on taking 2D03 as well

i think the course hasn't been offered during the fall/winter sessions in a couple of years now...so I wonder if thats why they're arent any reviews of it. I checked out some old outlines for the course and it looks interesting...lots of abnormal psych stuff which most people find interesting...

no worries...someone will drop out im sure...plus its a second term class so spots with defn open up! it was full when i tried to registar for it last friday but then it was available again for a couple of days..so you'll get in

A friend of mine had Dr. Wright for the history of health and medicine last year and she really liked him as a lecturer. He posted an audio file of most of his lectures so it really came in helped when she had to study for exams and the assignments were definitely fair.

I'm taking mental health right now during the summer session. So far it's really interesting, tonight we looked at the history of mental health. We looked at asylums, electro shock therapy, and lobotomies. Later on in the course we'll be analyzing different mental illnesses. I'd really suggest anyone interested in this kind of stuff to take it!

Does anyone know the breakdown of the Mental Health course? I might just take it! :]
