Heart and Stroke Foundation: McMaster Chapter Executive/Volunteer positions OPEN!
We at [email protected] are excited to announce that we have opened our 2015-2016 executive applications! All instructions are included below. Please note the deadlines for the applications in red.

Overview of the club:
The Heart & Stroke Foundation McMaster Chapter (HSF @ Mac) will be hosted by a group of passionate student volunteers who will endorse HSF's message in both words and actions: to promote a healthy living and to eliminate heart disease and stroke and reduce their impact through advancement of research and communal collaboration. HSF @ Mac will be the first ever chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation at McMaster University and will be in direct affiliation with HSF Canada. The aim of our chapter will be to inspire interest in the field of medicine and cardiology, foster research interest in cardiovascular disease; provide financial and volunteer support for heart- and stroke-related initiatives; and promote health and wellness both within the McMaster and Hamilton Community through partnership with various clinics across Hamilton.

Currently, we collaborate with a cardiologist, Dr. Greg Curnew, who places great emphasis on preventative medicine and making a positive difference. This can only be done by better informing patients on how to play a more active role in their health. As such, [email protected] is assisting him with the implementation of many educational programs. We need bright students will to make a meaningful difference. We are also opening up volunteer positions for this summer. If you are hoping to volunteer with a cardiologist over long term, this may be best for you. See link below.

Keep in mind that the key to success is commitment - we want help in making a difference in Hamilton and that requires being excited and proactive! We'd love to see that in your applications!

Two more days until exec applications close (March 21st). If you are interested in medicine, then a position in the Heart and Stroke foundation will be great for your resume' and application.
