I am Kanishka Goel. I have a lot to say about myself but I'll try not to bore you with my introduction. I am an international student from India. I am in Software Engineering and Embedded Systems Level 2. Was really excited to get the program of my choice. This was my basic intro, if want to know how I landed up in Mac and Software & Embedded, read on...
Interestingly I wasn't going to come to Mac for Undergraduate studies. Initially I had applied to Universities in US and Canada. I had been admitted to wherever I had applied in both the countries except McMaster. The decision from McMaster was always pending. So I decided to go to Purdue University in US since it is very well know for Computer Engineering. And then I received my offer of admission from McMaster on 27th May last year. I had 1 day to decide whether or not to choose Mac. Eventually, as you all know, I ended up choosing Mac. The primary reason was due to their special program -> Software and Embedded. I was confused whether to go for Software and Embedded or Computer Engineering. And since Mac had both the programs and an option of Co-op, I decided to go for it. I thought that even if I did decide for Computer Engineering eventually, I would transfer to Purdue in second year. Although I chose Software and Embedded, I'll tell you guys one thing, that I wouldn't have transferred to any other University even if I chose Computer Eng. since I love this place and I love MACINSIDERS!!
MACINSIDERS played a huge role in making my transition from India to Canada so much more easier. Everyone was so helpful and friendly on the forum. And now I try and return the favor!
