Help citing a scanned article found online
Well essay season is in full swing and between full time school and 50 hours a week at work, the last thing i have time for are library trips. Why bother if I can find 80% the information online. What I'm running into is finding scanned articles from books/journals (which the library has) online. What I'm not sure about is how to cite these sources. Do I have to cite it as an internet source or just the normal article? I'm thinking the normal article, cause really what's the difference if I have to book in front of me or a digital version. How is anyone going to know I didn't go to the actual library and read the book?

Thanks

Just cite the normal article.

Use the style guide for your appropriate citation style. There are some good ones here: http://owl.english.purdue.ed u/

Generally, if it's an article it's cited the same way regardless of if it's online or not; sometime you are to state that it's online though.
