Help with Electives
Which is an easier elective: Eco 1B03, Gerontology 1A03 or Earth Sc 2MM3 (gemstones)?

I'd say Econ 1B03 - You'll have Holmes, and you can get a 12 in it easily. You have 2 term tests, and they're fairly easy if you've looked over her slides. There are assignments, and I heard this year that there are weekly quizzes, which are pretty easy as well. It's an interesting course, and an easy 12.

Gerontology 1A03 - I'm not sure about this one. One of my friends took it last year, and she had to do quite a bit of writing, and some volunteering.

Gemstones - Don't take this course. It WAS a bird course, and now it's far from it. Stay away! :p

There are course reviews here, you may want to check them out.

I'm considering taking this as an elective next year. If I took Economics in Grade 11 and 12 will it be relatively straightforward?

I'm interested in Economics and enjoyed it in highschool so I feel like this might be a good elective for my 4th year since I haven't taken over my limit of level 1 courses.

Would it be a good idea to take Econ 1B03 even though I never took Economics in high school?

Would it still be an easy 11 or 12?

If someone could answer this for me, it would be great. Thanks.

Yeah, it's an introductory course, so you probably covered a lot of the basic concepts already in grade 11 and 12. You shouldn't have a problem with it.

I know a lot of people that didn't take grade 12 economics, and were able to pull a 12.

I took 1B03 this semester, with no previous knowledge of economics. Very easy course to get a 11/12 in.
