HELP: Fridge doesn't get cold
I moved into Res today and brought a Fridge from home.

I've been running it for 8 hours and it still doesn't get cold. There's power going to it because I can hear the compressor running. And the thermostat is set pretty low.

Does anyone know how to fix this? or who I can get to look at it? (not sure if any of the Mac staff will look at it since I didn't rent or buy from Coldex)

Please let me know.

You're supposed to let it sit for 2 days, THEN turn it on. Try that and see

My dad says it takes quite a while for the fridge to really get cold. 8 hours might be too little time. I'd wait a little longer and then start checking for bigger problems.

Yeah, if you read the instructions you'd see that you're supposed to let the fridge sit unplugged for at least a day after transport to let the coolant in its pipes return to its correct position. If you didn't do that, it may be the reason it's not getting cold. So I'd just give it more time, or unplug it for awhile and try it again later.

Yup, you just have to wait. I had the same worry. The problem is, my fridge is cold enough to freeze drinks, but can't keep ice cream frozen. Weird.

How long does it take your fridges to get cold, from the time you plug it in?
