Help! Help? for my timetable?
Hi MI users,

I need your help to comment on my courses for term 1 and term 2 listed below:

TERM 1
STAT 1L03
PSYCH 1X03
MATH 1B03
ECON 1B03
COMP SCI 1BA3
BIO 1P03

TERM 2
ECON 1BB3
COMMERCE 1E03
MATH 1M03
PSYCH 1XX3

As you can see there 6 is in term 1 and 4 in term 2. This combination of courses is the best possible way I could meet the requirements for Business 1, availability given by solar, and allowing me to take electives that gears my interest. I know term 1 could be tricky (in time management) but most (almost of them) are my favourites. Any advice on the course load, how heavy will be? Thanks!

Welcome to the MI community and McMaster University !
I never went through the whole university system yet but most students who have will say that having balanced terms is the way to go even though most of the courses in your first term is based on stuff you like.

Balanced should be the way to go, logically. But if you're interested in your courses, you should have the motivation to do the work for them too. I'd only be worried since it's your first term in university, which is tricky enough with all the transitioning stuff, but adding additional workload onto that is probably not the best idea. On the other hand, every engineering student takes 6 courses every term, and most of them can manage it. Just keep focused and you'll do fine.

As a bonus, if you can survive first term, second term will be a cakewalk. :p
