I am getting ready to pick my courses on june 14th, as i got accepted into honours sociology for my second year. i've been reading the programs webpage http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALENDAR/2011-12/pg1745.html

but im still not quite sure what to do when picking my courses. i mean, i require soc 2s06 and 2zo3, and 18 credits of level 2 or 3. so, do those 18 credits include the 2 mandatory courses mentioned above? and does that mean the rest of my courses are electives? i am quite confused i would appreciate if someone can guide me through it

Those 18 credits do not include 2S06 and 2Z03 since those are required. You will need 18 units from other level II or III sociology courses. The rest of your courses for this year would be considered electives or would count towards the 18 units from level II or III sociology courses, unless you plan on taking third year courses that fulfill the other requirements
