This club seems like a really dumb and pointless idea. Like James said, I believe the main idea behind the LGBTQ club is to create a space for people to go and feel accepted. I don't know about you but I have never felt unaccepted because I like girls.
This just seems like you are trying to scam some money out of mcmaster for a club, or a way to inadvertently discriminate against the LGBTQ club.
Or maybe you just want a club so you can talk about how great it is to like the opposite sex, and how after the club meetings you can go home to some nice heterosexual intercourse

Interesting idea, sadly MSU would laugh at you if your brought this up. University isn't as accepting as we like to think. :(

Yeah just the other day I overheard some students trash talking skinheads and anti-semites. Truly, ours is the most intolerant generation.

This tiresome discussion came up in Halton a few months ago when the Catholic school board banned "gay-straight alliances". Gay straight alliances, like other clubs for minorities, are essentially support groups. They offer support you don't usually need if you're straight-- support you may need desperately if you're not.
If nothing else, homosexual clubs are more interesting because they actually have some work to do.

I actually disagree with you, and believe that our generation is just as intolerant as the ones before (if not slightly less), but we are the ones who recognize intolerance more.
....not that it's a bad thing. It's a wonderful thing.

Lol, my High School was part of the Halton District Catholic School Board; they've made some pretty ridiculous decisions the past few years =/

Pretty sure clubs have to serve a purpose to get funding. And the purpose 'to take up funding because that other club has funding' doesn't qualify.

Wow... Why do all of you have such a problem with this? Are you discriminating against my heterosexuality?
