Hey Chichi! I am currently in second year Ultrasound. I am in clinical placement I for that matter You've chosen a great field Ha ha~ It's really interesting, learning about theories while applying them right in school! Yes, books were very expensive, I spent approximately 1500 dollars plus on it, but these books will last you a life time! You will only need to buy manuals and elective books in Third Year. I suggest that you get books AFTER your lecture for every class, but the editions have changed for most of the books, you don't want to get stuck with the wrong edition and when it comes to testing and exams, it'll make it harder for you to study! Second year Ultrasound is a little tough in the first term, but if you are willing to work, you will do just fine! Hope this helps

Any 2nd yrs please help out. I'm asking this on behalf of a friend who is going into 2nd year sonography:
1) How hard is sonography on the wrist? she had a broken wrist before and isn't sure if this is a good choice.
2) In 2nd year,is it true they "purposely" weed out a lot of students to save clinical spot?
3) How much does it cost to do clinical for the summer?

Is there anyone else who can answer these questions?

And also: 4) What is the most competitive specialty right now in the program?

Hey there,
My name is Madelyn. I'm also in level 2 sonography! I am very excited for this year and look forward to getting to know everyone

Hey,
I've actually injured my thumb. I'm wondering also how strenuous ultrasound will be on my hand.
