hi guys! My offer was rescined. Why?
Hi guys,
I am a soon to be first year student at mcmaster (soc.sci.) but i just got an email today from mcmaster and it reads -
"Our records indicate that you did not satisfy the requirements that were outlined in the Conditional Offer of Admission letter included in your offer package. The conditions were to be cleared by June 30, 2010.
As a result, we have now rescinded your offer to your desired program. You will receive a letter in the mail within a few days confirming this decision. Due to enrolment limitations we are not in a position to extend the deadline for you to meet the conditions of your offer."
My average is a 75.0, completed 60 hours of community service, so how didnt i meet the requirements?
Please help and Thank you!

Someone in another thread said that many high school guidance counselors did not check "OSSD received". That might be your problem.
Here's the thread http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...w-29526p2.html

I checked the thread you sent me and it seems that many students are going through the same B.S.
Apparently the O.S.S.D status wasnt checked by the guidance councilors from highschool. But now i have to wait one business day to sign back into OUAC. and wait until MONDAY to talk to someone at mcmaster... they dont have anyone to talk to now????

Woah that sucks big time. Make sure to visit the guidance councilors in the summer for payback.

What was the cut off for your program this year? The lowest percentage I remember when I was going in was 77 but maybe I'm wrong.

Really unnecessary. He could have just missed the key.

I agree. It gets annoying when people feel the need to broadcast petty spelling mistakes. It really doesn't make them appear any smarter...

The same thing happened to me. My top 6 average was an 80.0, which was stipulated in my conditional offer (Business I). However, there was a mistake in my mark, this mark was amended early July. Should I call them? I am extremely worried, I have not even notified my parents, yet.

Maybe, just maybe, like most professional settings, they don't work weekends? Or late hours?
